All EPSON printers have inbuilt counters that count up the number of pages a printer produces, the number of head cleans executed and various other attributes. Once a critical level is reached the printer will enter its service mode. Commonly this is shown by a message saying ‘Parts inside your printer are at the end of their service life.’

At this point users are expected to either throw away their printer, and buy a new one, or pay to have a costly service by an engineer.

Inside all EPSON printers are foam pads which catch and soak up any ‘waste’ ink that is pumped from the ink cartridges during prints or head cleans. The printer has a counter that records ink usage and estimates when these pads will be full. At this point the printer shuts down and enters its ‘service mode’.

We provide a complete kit to fit a waste ink bottle container to you printer. PLEASE NOTE: The reset service program is NOT included in this listing, the service reset key can be purchased separately on our website.

What do I get?

We include everything to fit a waste ink bottle container to your printer; 180ml waste ink container, tubing, joints and seals to connect to your printer: this by-passes the internal waste ink pads and allows the printer to pump the waste ink into the external waste ink container. The user can simply empty this when required and no longer has to worry about the internal waste ink pads. We provide everything required to fit the waste ink container to the printer.

Is it easy to fit?

In most cases yes. Removing the side panel of the printer is usually required. We include full photographed, and annotated instructions specific for each printer, so fitting is as easy as possible. In most cases fitting takes 5-10 minutes.
